Description:

WLT-US has many active field conservation partners across Latin America engaged in a diverse array of conservation projects and grants, from land purchase to protected area management and research. To further engage our donor base and facilitate reporting of project achievements from our partner to a wider audience, we are seeking a Conservationist and/or Biologist that can liaise with our partners in Spanish to obtain the latest news and results (including photos and videos) as well as assist with donor reporting and information for grant applications.

The position works closely with Communication and Development staff as well as with the CEO. The position can be either full or part time (depending on candidate’s experience) and would be based from our Northern Virginia office.

We seek an applicant that has excellent English writing skills, fluency in Spanish, and has experience with conservation, ideally in the tropics. Candidates with experience of writing articles and reports on conservation or biology are preferred (examples of your work are requested).

Qualifications:

  • Experience with biodiversity conservation, ideally in the tropics.
  • Strong English writing and editing skills.
  • Spanish language skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Experience writing and editing communication materials.
  • Experience managing photos and videos.
