Job description

Since 2005 Food & Water Watch has advocated for common sense policies that will result in healthy, safe food and access to safe and affordable drinking water. We have utilized original research and grassroots organizing to effectively change both corporate and governmental policies to better protect the public. To help bolster public participation in the legislative process we are hiring field organizers in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We are looking to add to our team of passionate, highly motivated activists to help fight hydro-fracking along with number of other public health issues!

Duties & Qualifications

The duties of the campaign organizer will be to educate the public on critical consumer and environmental issues and to help build strength in numbers to effect policy changes. We are looking for exceptional candidates with excellent verbal communication skills, a background in environmental, public health, or consumer issues, and a passion for social justice and progressive change. We offer leadership training and advancement opportunities for qualified individuals and ensure that all staff members develop valuable political advocacy skills.

Hours 2-10pm Monday through Friday Part time schedules are available for the same hours 3-4 days per week.

Compensation and Benefits $450-625 per week; contingent on performance and leadership responsibilities. $90-125 per day for part time schedules. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as paid sick and vacation days available after six months of employment.
