Meredith Lustig

Meredith Lustig Meredith Lustig is thrilled to be joining the Bard Prep Faculty! A native of New Hampshire, Mrs. Lustig has been teaching and performing across the United States and Internationally for nearly a decade. Appearances during the 2015-16 season included Musetta in La Boheme (Syracuse Opera), Eurydice in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld (Virginia Opera), Fiona in Brigadoon (Gulfshore Opera), Megan in Robert Paterson’s The Whole Truth (American Modern Ensemble), a Broadway Extravaganza with Opera Hong Kong, and her debut with the North Eastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic. Past seasons included: Papagena/The Magic Flute, Zina/Dark Sisters, Musetta/La Boheme, Carolina/Il Matrimonio Segreto, and Clorinda/Cenerentola (Pittsburgh Opera); Daisy/The Great Gatsby (Aspen Opera Theater); Bella/An American Tragedy (The Glimmerglass Festival), Gianetta/L’Elisir D’Amore, Cephisia/Orpheus (New York City Opera), Lauretta/Gianni Schicchi, Tiresias/Les Mamelles de Tiresias (Juilliard Opera).

Mrs. Lustig is proud to have held residency at the Ravinia Steans Institute, The Glimmerglass Festival, the Caramoor Rising Star Program, Town Hall Theatre’s Broadway Rising Stars Program, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, The Bel Canto Institute in Florence Italy, and as a Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist. An avid recitalist, she has sung with the New York Festival of Song at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Merkin Hall. Favorite symphonic appearances include Bernstein’s Mass (Philadelphia Orchestra), Verdi’s Stabat Mater, Orff’s Carmina Burana (Erie Philharmonic), and Vaughn William’s Serenade to Music (Chicago Symphony Orchestra).

Mrs. Lustig is a passionate advocate of new music, workshopping material with the New York University Graduate Musical Theater program, the NYFOS Next Festival, and many other independent projects. Mrs.

Lustig earned both her undergraduate and masters degrees from the Juilliard school, and was awarded the institutions first Novick Career Grant. She is a 2015 American Traditions Competition Semi-Finalist; 2012 Metropolitan National Council Auditions Pittsburgh District Winner, and third place Regional Finalist.
