Meeting with a Counselor
Counseling Services is available to all enrolled Bard students. If you do not already have a counselor, you are welcome to come during any one of our Open Clinic blocks, which are offered Monday through Friday. On your first visit you will be asked to complete a confidential on-line form. Try to choose a time when you have some flexibility, as Open Clinic is first come first served basis.

Meeting with the Bard Psychiatrist
Our office can provide psychiatry services to Bard students who are currently meeting on a regular basis with one of our staff therapists. Please speak with your Bard therapist if you are interested in scheduling a consultation with our psychiatrist. Having a rough day? Stressed out? Need someone to talk to, or just curious about counseling?
The Let's Talk space is a drop-in support time for talking through concerns, whether they are big or small.

Just show up! No appointment or paperwork needed.
The Counseling Service staff abide by professional standards of confidentiality. We will not provide any information about your health or mental health to family members, faculty and staff, coaches, or employers without your written permission to do so.
Exceptions to the confidentiality standard occur when a student is assessed to be a danger to themselves or others, when records are subpoenaed, or in reporting abuse as required by law. In such cases, you would be informed when possible, and only the necessary information would be released.
