Biography:
Alexander Soros is deputy chairman of Open Society Foundations; a member of the Board of Trustees for Bard College and Central European University; Trustee of the International Crisis Group Board; and founder of the Alexander Soros Foundation, which supports human rights, social justice, and educational causes. His writing has appeared in The Guardian, New York Daily News, Politico, Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel, and Forward; he also contributed an essay to God, Faith & Identity from the Ashes: Reflections of Children and Grandchildren of Holocaust Survivors (2014). Soros has been a visiting fellow at the Institute für Die Wissenschaften vom Menschen, Vienna; honorary fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study at Central European University, Budapest; and a postdoctoral fellow at the Hannah Arendt Center for Politics and Humanities at Bard College.BA, New York University; MA, PhD, University of California, Berkeley.
