3+2 Program in Economic Theory and Policy Bard is proud to be the home of an internationally known think tank, the Levy Economics Institute. In the 3+2 program, students study with both Bard faculty and Levy scholars, allowing them to leverage economics for the greater good. Join Thomas Masterson, director of the Levy Graduate Programs in Economic Theory and Policy, to learn how to earn a BA and MS in five years under the guidance of true public policy experts.
4+1 Program in Economic Theory and Policy The 4+1 pathway offers Bard graduates in economics an opportunity to seamlessly transition to a one-year Master of Arts in Economic Theory and Policy, offered by the Levy Institute. Graduates in related disciplines are also encouraged to apply, as most emerging issues in the world economic order demand a multidisciplinary approach.
4+1 Program in Environmental Policy, Climate Science and Policy, or Environmental Education Interested in getting paid to solve climate, tackle environmental justice issues, or work on sustainable development? Join Eban Goodstein, director of Bard's Center for Environmental Policy and the MBA in Sustainability to learn about sustainability leadership careers in NGOs, government, and business, as well as Bard's 4+1 program that allows you to earn an MS in Environmental Policy or Climate Science and Policy or an MEd in Environmental Education with just one additional year at Bard.
3+2 Program in Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture at the Bard Graduate Center in New York City Did you know that Bard offers a 3+2 program in New York City? Students majoring in art history, history, anthropology, or American studies have the opportunity to apply in their third year and begin Bard Graduate Center's two-year MA program in Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture in their fourth year. This session, hosted by Keith Condon, director of admission and student affairs, will provide students with an overview of this exciting program of teaching, research, and exhibitions as well as information on how and when to begin preparing to earn a Bard BA and an MA in Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture in five years.
4+1 Master of Arts in Teaching Program Interested in teaching? The BA/MAT 4+1 program is designed to offer Bard undergraduates a path to a master of arts in teaching (MAT) degree and New York State grades 7–12 teacher certification in one of five subject areas (biology, history, literature, mathematics, or Spanish) within five years of entering college. Join Cecilia Maple '01, BardMAT director of admission and student affairs, to learn about Bard's BA/MAT 4+1 degree path for undergraduates.
