The term "a theory of everything" has started to appear more in popular media, but what does it even mean? In this talk, we will explore the history of the search for a theory of everything in physics and discuss why researchers are so interested in such a theory. We will review the current state of research on unifying physics. We will also address some of the questions that often arise when discussing these theories: is this science, and is this even possible?**Refreshments will be served in the RKC lobby at 3 p.m.**
