St. Petersburg University, Russia / Bard College, USAOn Friday, October 2, 2020, St. Petersburg University holds the 29th Annual Russian-American Seminar. This annual forum brings together researchers and practitioners from Russia, the European Union, the United States, and other countries to discuss current issues in international security, regional development, and intercultural exchange related to the topic. This year, St. Petersburg University, in association with Bard College, will present an online event on U.S.-Russia relations to mark the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. The UN-75 and U.S. Russia Relations online event will include presentations from historians and political scientists from the United States, Russia, and the Netherlands touching on historical topics such as the founding of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, memories of WWII in the context of Soviet/Russian-American relations, the UN-NATO partnership, and seeking a basis for U.S.-Russia understanding.
