Rabbi Tamar Malino and human rights leader Tony Stewart on community responses to antisemitic attacks.
Rabbi Tamar Malino leads the largest synagogue in Spokane, Washington. Her building and a Holocaust memorial were recently defaced by swastikas. She will be interviewed about the attack, and the community’s response (during a time of COVID restrictions) by Tony Stewart, a longtime leader of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations, which was founded 40 years ago in nearby Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, “in response to the victimization of a Jewish restaurant owner in Hayden, Idaho and a bi-racial family in Coeur d’ Alene.” Stewart was a professor of political science and a television talk show host, and is a member of the Idaho Hall of Fame. For more information, call 718-503-4441, e-mail [email protected],
