[Un]Translatable Worlds: Lightning Conversations about Machine and AI Translation

This event brings together students and faculty to reflect on the impact and ethics of translation performed by machines and AI. Through a series of short, conversational presentations, we will explore both the potentials and challenges of nonhuman translation technologies: their data sources, artistic limitations, and broader implications for education and scholarship. The goal of the event is to create a supportive space for students and faculty to engage in thoughtful discussion about the possibilities and risks of machine and AI translation as these technologies continue to evolve.
