OSUN, the Bard Prison Initiative, and Incarceration Nations Network invites OSUN community members to the third session of the BPI Global Initiatives Virtual Lecture Series. The session, "Rethinking Order and Prison Governance in India," will be led by Mahuya Bandyopadhyay, Professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences IIT in Delhi, India. As a social anthropologist, she studies varied manifestations and experiences of the carceral system as they mesh with contemporary urban society. She is the author of Everyday Life in Prison and co-editor of Towards a New Sociology in India and Women, Incarcerated: Narratives from India.
The BPI Global Initiatives Virtual Lecture Series runs until June 2023.
