Federico García Lorca is perhaps the most recognizable Spanish poet in English translation. This workshop will explore the many ways in which Lorca's poetry has been translated with sometimes radically different results. In addition to comparing some different translations of some of Lorca's poetry, we will attempt to translate some of his work as a group, although no prior knowledge of Spanish is required. For more information, call 845-758-6822, or e-mail [email protected].
