A message from Bard Graduate Programs in Sustainability

As we are enraged and mourn the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, we know that without justice, there will be no sustainable future. At Bard’s Graduate Programs in Sustainability, we support the fight to end racial bias in policing and incarceration, and to end America’s deeply rooted system of white supremacy. Our mission is to educate leaders to bring social and environmental justice to business, policy and education. These murders make it clear what our graduates must ultimately achieve. In the memory of these three people and many others, we recommit ourselves to this work.
Please see the letter from Bard College President Leon Botstein here) reaffirming the College’s mission to create a more just and civil society.

In solidarity,
The Bard Graduate Programs in Sustainability

Bard MBA Faculty Expanding Entrepreneurial Education Across Bard's Global University Network
This fall, students in the Open Society University Network, from Bard to Bishkek, will use the platform RebelBase to practice entrepreneurial thinking and problem solving. RebelBase will connect social enterprise cohorts at Bard with students at universities in Dhaka, Bishkek, Mataró, and Jerusalem. Bard MBA Entrepreneurship Professor Alejandro Crawford is the cofounder and CEO of RebelBase, which teaches entrepreneurial thinking as a form of basic literacy, addressing one of the most critical skills gaps of 21st-century education.

The Bard Difference
