What will come after COVID-19? Will this crisis set back the cause of social and environmental sustainability, or open the door to rapid progress? What can people do now to determine the future?
L. Hunter Lovins is a founding professor at the Bard MBA program and the President and Founder of Natural Capitalism Solutions. A renowned author and champion of sustainable development for over 35 years, Hunter has consulted on business, economic development, sustainable agriculture, energy, water, security, and climate policies for scores of governments, communities, and companies worldwide. Her best‐known book, Natural Capitalism, Won the Shingo Prize. It has been translated into more than three dozen languages and summarized in Harvard Business Review. Its sequel, The Way Out: Kickstarting Capitalism To Save Our Economic Ass, won the Atlas Award. Her latest book, A Finer Future won the Silver Nautilus Award.
Laura Gitman is Chief Operating Officer of BSR, a global non-profit consulting firm that develops sustainable business strategies for its 250+ member companies. Laura a global expert on corporate sustainability, with two decades of experience in strategy consulting and has advised senior executives at global companies across a range of industry sectors and sustainability issues. She also teaches Bard MBA's NYCLab course in which students undertake a yearlong consulting engagement with a real world client.
