Garden Open House and Paint Out Featured as Part of 20th Anniversary Hudson River Valley Ramble
Bard College is one of more than 150 partner organizations participating in the Ramble. The Ramble provides people of all ages an opportunity to experience the cultural landscape of the Hudson River Valley by hiking a trail, visiting an historic site, or paddling on the river. Ramble events are led by naturalists, ecologists, historians, geologists and experienced volunteers.
Scott Keller, Acting Director of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and Greenway said, “If it’s September, then it’s time to Ramble, and even more so in 2019 as we celebrate our 20th annual Ramble! It’s amazing to see the tremendous diversity of great events that are offered by our partners each year, and we’re proud to be able to showcase some 200 exciting Ramble events this year. The Ramble demonstrates that celebrating our natural and cultural resources provides a big boost to our regional economy.”
The 2019 Ramble is presented by the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and the Hudson River Valley Greenway in partnership with the New York State Division of Tourism’s I Love NY Program, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson River Estuary Program, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and the National Park Service. The Ramble is made possible through the efforts of many partner environmental, cultural and recreational organizations, communities and historic sites throughout the region including Bard College.
