The Val-Kill Partnership, in conjunction with COV-AID, sponsored by the Open Society University Network and The Talloires Network, present a virtual discussion series highlighting the importance of Eleanor Roosevelt's legacy in today's crisis.Andi Gitow oversees the Media Department, leading content and partnership strategy, as well as immersive technologies. Andi is on special leave from the United Nations, where she worked in various roles including most recently as Deputy Director of the UN Office in Washington, and in NY at Headquarters as Head of Global Campaigns for the UN’s Humanitarian arm, and Executive Producer and Head of Strategic Partnerships in the UN’s Department of Global Communications. Prior to the UN, Andi was a Producer at NBC Network News in NY. Andi specialized in the coverage of war and genocide and human rights and humanitarian issues. She has traveled to and reported from some 60 countries, most conflict zones. Her work has garnered more than 30 prestigious awards, including 2 Emmy Awards, an Edward R. Murrow, and numerous awards for international reporting. She received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Columbia University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received Phi Beta Kappa and National Merit Awards for academic excellence.
