What Is Learning Strategies Tutoring?

With a Learning Strategies tutor, students have the opportunity to improve their time management and study skills with a fellow student. Tutors are trained to help students schedule tasks more effectively, learn how to do close engaged reading, interpret class assignments, and more. Students can meet with LS tutors weekly or biweekly to practice strategies like scheduling, taking notes, and getting started on essays. Email Sophie Foley at [email protected] to be paired up with a Learning Strategies tutor! Available below are links to handouts on time management strategies!

Senior Project (SPROJ) Tutoring

Learning Strategies tutors are also trained in Senior Project tutoring. Senior Project tutors can meet as frequently as twice a week with SPROJing seniors, giving them another steady source of accountability, encouragement, and concept development. This is the first major project that many students have ever done, and meeting with a fellow student is a great step in building community and confidence!
