Organization Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference?

Are you a natural and outgoing leader among your friends and colleagues?

Do you work best when faced with a difficult problem and tasked to work as part of a diverse team to find creative solutions?

Does the idea of working in a cubicle every day seem like a soul-crushing hell?

If you’re 4 for 4, then you should learn more about two unique opportunities to join our team at the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance.

Our non-profit is a recognized leader in marine conservation and fisheries policy. We are a dynamic and outcome-oriented group of commercial fishermen working for healthy oceans and profitable small-boat fisheries. We’re looking for smart, motivated, high-energy individuals who value working with others, enjoy challenging conventional thinking/practices, and can contribute their talents across a dynamic range of tasks to support our team.

Description

FISHERIES POLICY POSITION

While related education or work experience will be considered, our primary objective is to find someone who would be comfortable, effective and tireless talking with commercial fishermen at the pier or on their boats, talking with Senators and Congressmen in DC, and arguing for positive change in a wide-range of important decision-making venues. They should be comfortable advocating for positive change in often contentious debates.

If this sounds like you, please send a resume and cover letter to Melissa Sanderson.

DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE POSITION

·planning and implementing community outreach events, and

·coordinating our membership program and annual giving campaign.

The ideal candidate is an energetic team player with more than 2 years of marketing or project management experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for fish and fishermen. S/he should be an innovative thinker who is results orientated, has an entrepreneurial attitude, and can attend to both the big picture and the details.

If this sounds like you, please send a resume and cover letter to Melissa Sanderson.
