Position Description

We seek a Program Operations Coordinator to provide operational support for Conservation & Education Program, specifically the Climate & Energy team, the Safeguarding Wildlife team, and the Grassroots team. This position is generally responsible for carrying out operational tasks for the directors of the three program areas, including internal communications, budget management, grant expense tracking and reporting, fundraising support, contracts, hiring assistance and new employee training, and assisting program staff with financial/administrative procedures. The Program Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for providing financial and operational support to the Senior Manager of Operations.

 

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a minimum three years of operational experience preferably in a nonprofit environment. He or she must possess experience in leading or influencing team decisions and providing operational support to multiple groups concurrently. The Program Operations Coordinator must possess a high level of integrity, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. He or she must possess the ability to juggle several tasks and deadlines concurrently while paying close attention to detail and consistently meeting deadlines, while working well independently, and as part of a team, leading teams towards a common goal. The Program Operations Coordinator must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and posses the demonstrable skill in creating and tracking budgets and expenses; knowledge of nonprofit budgeting is helpful.
