Organization Overview
The Artic Center of the University of Lapland is looking for three expers for the project: “TESTING IMPROVEMENT PROCESSES OF FINNISH ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS AND THE MODES OF APPLICATION IN THE ARCTIC REGIONS OF FINLAND AND RUSSIA.” The Barents EIA project aims at designing a Roadmap together with decision makers, companies, and other stakeholders to improved EIA processes for sustainable development in the Arctic. The project will provide Finnish companies with good practices and free access to an online information service that contains information about environmental legislation, rules, and contact persons/institutions in Finland and in Russia. Thereby the project promotes high environmental standards and business opportunities in Arctic Russia and Finland.
Description
The tasks of the project are as follows:
