Description: Leadership for a Clean Economy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting legislative candidates in California who are climate change and clean energy leaders. We aim to leverage policy expertise, advocacy experience, and business relationships to support the best candidates who will lead California’s clean economy future.

LCE seeks a Research & Outreach Intern to manage research projects, perform outreach, manage social media engagement, and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate will be values-driven, highly motivated, and hard-working, and will have excellent written and verbal communications skills. The Research & Outreach Intern will work closely with the Political Director and the Executive Director. Electoral, legislative and/or environmental policy experience a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or intermediate SQL skills a plus.

Responsibilities: The Research & Outreach Intern will coordinate the following projects:

– Outreach & Strategic Planning: The Research & Outreach Intern will research prospective candidates and help build LCE’s statewide network.

– Social Media Engagement: The Research & Outreach Intern will manage LCE’s social media presence @CleanLeadership, [http:facebook.com/CleanLeadership|facebook.com/CleanLeadership].

– Administrative Responsibilities: The Research & Outreach Intern will assist our small team in miscellaneous administrative tasks, as needed.
