Matthew Schrader Sculpture
Matthew Schrader is an artist and educator based in New York City. Schrader’s work moves between sculpture, image making, spatial intervention and collaboration. Recent projects have engaged aspects of landscape, migration, material memory and circulations of power. He received an MFA in Sculpture from the Milton Avery Graduate School of Arts at Bard College and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Schrader’s work has appeared in exhibitions at White Columns, P!, The Abrons Art Center, MINI/Goethe-Institut Curatorial Residencies Ludlow 38, Gertrude, Room East, and MoMA PS1. He is a recipient of The Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Grant in New York City. Schrader has taught at The Cooper Union and the Rhode Island School of Design and was recently appointed Assistant Professor at Middlebury College.
