Immediate steps for enrolling

Follow the steps below, in order, to finalize your enrollment in the Bard College Conservatory of Music.

Enrollment Form and Tuition Deposit

To indicate your acceptance of admission, please login to the Bard Application Portal and complete the Graduate Programs Reply Form with your tuition deposit of $500.00 on or before April 15. The tuition deposit will be credited toward your first semester of tuition.  You will also need to submit a $225.00 security deposit, which will be returned to you upon graduation, if there are not outstanding balances on your student account. 

Financial Aid

In order to receive any awards found in your awards letter from the financial aid office you must submit the following documents and/or complete the necessary requirements:
● Return Signed Award Letter to the Bard College Office of Financial Aid
● Direct Loan Master Promissory Note @ www.studentloans.gov
● Entrance Counseling for Direct Loan @ www.studentloans.gov

Submission of Final Transcript

In order to matriculate at Bard College, you must provide a final official transcript from your undergraduate institution. If you did not submit a final transcript with your application, then you must do so before July 1. Please submit your official final transcript to conservatoryadmission@bard.edu. If you prefer to send physical copies of your transcript, please send them to:

International Student Visas

A representative from the international student office will be in touch with you to request information and forms.

You will receive an email with instructions on how to register your Bard student email address. Communications will be sent to your Bard email address periodically throughout the summer. Once your account is setup, it is imperative to check this account regularly before and during the school year.

Student Health Insurance & Medical Forms

Health Insurance
Health insurance is required for all Bard College students. By default, a student health insurance fee will be included in your semester tuition bill. If, however, you already have accident & sickness health insurance coverage and wish to opt out of the Bard student health insurance plan, you must submit an online health insurance waiver or you will be charged for student health insurance. The deadline for requesting a waiver is July 31. Information about Bard College’s Health Insurance (including waiver information) can be downloaded below. 

Required Medical Forms
In addition, you must print, fill out, and return the four required Medical Forms (including Medical History, Physical Examination and Immunization Record, Meningitis Vaccination Response, and Student Health Services Authorization). A family physician or licensed health practitioner will be required to fill out portions of these forms.
