Week 1:  July 7 - July 12, 2014
Ages 3-9

Early Childhood Program:  Ages 3-4

The Bard Music Camp Early Childhood Program offers daily Chorus and Music & Movement Classes. 
  • Children's Chorus - July 7-11, 9:00-9:30 am with a performance on July 12th
  • Music & Movement - July 7-11, 9:30-10:15 am
Classes may be taken separately or together.


Regular Program:  Students Ages 5-6 may choose between the Half Day or Full Day Program

Half Day Program
:  July 7-11, 9 am - 12 pm with recital performance on July 12
  • Half Day students receive 2 Private Lessons*, 3 Group Instrumental (or Vocal) Classes, daily Music & Movement and Chorus Classes

Full Day Program:
  July 7-11, 9 am - 3 pm with recital performance on July 12
  • Full Day students receive 3 Private Lessons*, 2 Group Instrumental (or Vocal) Classes, daily Music & Movement and Chorus Classes, Introduction to Music Theory, Ensemble Playing, and daily Arts and Crafts and Recreational Activities

For Students Ages 7-9, the Bard Music Camp offers the Full Day Program

Full Day Program: 
July 7-11, 9 am - 3 pm with recital performance on July 12
  • Full Day students receive 3 Private Lessons*, 2 Group Instrumental (or Vocal) Classes, daily Musicianship and Chorus Classes, Ensemble Playing, and daily Arts and Crafts and Recreational Activities

*Private instruction available in:  Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Guitar, Clarinet, and Voice


AFTER-CAMP TENNIS MINI-CAMP:  July 7-11

New at the Bard Music Camp this year will be an optional After-Camp Tennis Mini-Camp.  Bard Men’s Tennis Coach Andrew Constant will be working with interested Bard Music Camp students daily (Monday-Friday) from 3:30-4:30 pm.

Space is very limited and open only to Bard Music Camp students.

Week 2:  July 14 - July 19, 2014Ages 10-18


For Students Ages 10-18, the Bard Music Camp offers a Full Day Program
Including:
  • 3 Private Lessons*
  • Daily Chorus Rehearsal
  • Daily Chamber Music
  • Daily Ensemble Playing
  • Musicianship Classes focusing on Composition, Music Theory and Ear Training
  • Performance Classes
  • Monitored Practice Time
  • Recreational Activities
The week culminates in a student recital on July 19.

*Private instruction available in:  Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Guitar, Flute, Clarinet, Voice, and Composition


String Ensemble Program:

The String Ensemble will rehearse daily from July 14-18 from 9-10 am and perform on July 19.  Students aged 10-18  may participate in the String Ensemble separately or as part of the Full-Day Program.
