2013 Summer Camp
Come and Join Us for our 3rd Annual Bard Music Camp!
July 8 - 13, 2013 for ages 3 - 9
July 15 - 20, 2013 for ages 10 - 18 and String Ensemble Program
Week 1: July 8 - July 13, 2013For children ages 3 to 6 "Early Childhood Program", the Bard Music Camp offers daily Music and Movement and Chorus classes. Children learn elements of music through games, movement, listening, and singing.
Children ages 5 to 6 can choose either a half-day or full-day program. Children ages 7-9 will be enrolled in the full-day program. Both programs consist of private and group instrumental lessons with daily monitored practicing, chamber music, and chorus, as well as instrumental, performance, and musicianship classes. Each day also includes arts and crafts and summer recreational activities. The week culminates in a student recital on July 13.
Private instructions available for: Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Guitar, Flute, Clarinet, Voice, and Composition
Week 2: July 15 - July 20, 2013For students ages 10 - 18, week 2 offers a full-day program consisting of private instrumental lessons with daily monitored practicing, chamber music, and chorus, as well as instrumental, performance, and musicianship classes. Each day also includes summer recreational activities. The week culminates in a student recital on July 20
Week 2 also includes the
String Ensemble Program. The group will meet for 1 hour every day and have a final performance on Saturday, July 20. Students can sign up for only the String Ensemble or participate as part of the full camp program.
