Admission Overview

The Conservatory admits exceptionally talented musicians who have already achieved a superior degree of instrumental proficiency, or have substantial accomplishment as composers.

To be admitted, applicants must perform a successful audition and must also be admitted by Bard College. The chances of being admitted to the College will be substantially enhanced by outstanding achievement in music.

Asia Audition Dates Announced
Bard Conservatory will be holding auditions for instrumentalists in Asia at the following dates and locations:

  • Taipei - January 11
  • Beijing - January 13
  • Shanghai - January 15
  • Seoul - January 18

Regular Admission
January 1:
Application deadline
End of January: Prescreening results sent.
Live Auditions (by invitation only) will be in February and early March. Specific dates to be announced.

Transfer Student Admission
November 1: Application deadline for the spring semester 
March 1: Application deadline for the fall semester
