Biography:
B.A., University of Pennsylvania; M.A., University of Oregon; Ph.D., University of Cambridge; postdoctoral research fellow, Princeton Neuroscience Institute. Additional research positions at Cambridge, in the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit; University of St. Andrews; University of Oregon; University of Pennsylvania; and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Recipient of numerous grants and awards, including a Walt Disney Company Foundation Scholarship, Mind Science Foundation Research Award in Consciousness, and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. His work has appeared in Nature Communications, Cerebral Cortex, Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, Memory, Brain Research, Current Biology, and other scholarly journals. Recent publications have addressed memory, intentional forgetting, inducing amnesia through cognitive control, and the enduring effects of psychological trauma on memory control, among other subjects.
