Biography:
Jasmine Clarke is a photographer, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Clarke is a visiting assistant professor of photography at Bard College, where she earned her BA in 2018. She received support from the 2021 Aperture and Google Creator Labs Photo Fund. She has shown her work in exhibitions including And Let it Remain So (Phoenix Art Museum), All in This Together, PhotoVogue Festival (Milan), Atlanta Celebrates Photography: Ones to Watch (MINT Gallery, Atlanta), Bard x HGG (curated by Stephen Shore at Howard Greenberg Gallery, New York City), Entitlements (National Center for Civil and Human Rights), Photoville (Brooklyn Bridge Park, New York City), and Women of the African Diaspora: Identity, Place, Migration, Immigration (Blue Sky Gallery, Portland). Clark was a 2022 Light Work Artist-in-Residence, a finalist at Authority Collective: The Lit List and Critical Mass (Photolucida), and earned honorable mention for the Lenscratch Student Prize.Contact:
