Biography:

B.A., M.A., University College, Oxford; Ph.D., Harvard University. Teacher training at the Teaching Certification Program, Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, Harvard University, where she was an eight-time recipient of the Certificate of Distinction in Teaching. Research and teaching interests include Latin literature, especially poetry of the Republican, Augustan, and Imperial periods; Greek literature, especially archaic lyric, fifth-century tragedy and comedy, and Hellenistic poetry; performance and writing in Greek and Latin literature; ancient and modern literary reception; translation studies; and women and gender in ancient literature. Has presented papers at the American Philological Association Annual Meeting, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, and the Harvard-Yale Conference, Center for Hellenic Studies, in Washington, D.C. At Bard since 2013.
