Carol Singing Followed by a Reading of Dickens's A Christmas Carol at Blithewood Manor
In the mid-1950s, Eleanor Roosevelt visited Annandale-on-Hudson regularly to read Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol to the Bard community.Join us as we revive the tradition with Roosevelt scholar Anya Luscombe, Chaplain Mary Grace Williams, and professors Richard Aldous, Michael Ives, Pete L’Official, Adhaar Desai, and Natalie Prizel.
The event will begin with the first annual campus caroling. Carolers will meet at 3:00 p.m. at the Meditation Garden (next to the Chapel of the Holy Innocents). Come and sing and be merry! Enjoy hot chocolate and candy canes! Caroling will end at Blithewood followed by the reading of A Christmas Carol at 5:00 p.m.
All are welcome!
