"Contemporary Chinese Art and Literary Culture of China" Symposium and Poetry Reading at Bard Colleg
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-"Contemporary Chinese Art and Literary Culture of China," a symposium and poetry reading in conjunction with a current exhibition will take place on Thursday, February 18. The symposium begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Fisher Studio Arts Building at Bard College and is followed by a reception for the artists. Both the symposium and reception are open to the public without charge.The symposium begins with an introduction by the curator, Patricia Karetzky, the Oskar Munsterberg Lecturer in Art History at Bard College. Participants include artists Xing Fei, Xu Bing, Longbin Chen, and Zhao Suikang and poets Chang Er, Yang Lian, and Leonard Schwartz of Bard College.

The exhibition has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the Andy Warhol Foundation.
