Bruce Watson

Biography: A veteran freelance writer, Bruce Watson (B.A., UC Berkeley; M.A., University of Massachusetts) is currently finishing a "biography" of light. The narrative, to be published in 2015, will trace humanity's evolving understanding of light from creation myths to lasers and fiber optics. Watson is also the author of e-biographies of Jon Stewart ("Jon Stewart: Beyond the Moments of Zen") and Stephen Colbert ("Beyond Truthiness"), and four narrative books on American history. Watson's most recent book is Freedom Summer: The Savage Season of 1964 that Made Mississippi Burn and Made America a Democracy. Watson has also written for Smithsonian, the Los Angeles Times, American Heritage, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Yankee, Reader's Digest, and Best American Science and Nature Writing 2003.Contact:
