Biography:
B.A., University of California, San Diego; M.A., Ph.D., Brown University. Previously taught at Dartmouth College, Brandeis University, and Brown. Monograph: Spanish America and British Romanticism, 1777-1826: Rewriting Conquest (Edinburgh University Press, February 2010). Scholarly articles have appeared or are forthcoming in European Romantic Review; Revista Hispánica Moderna; Oxford Encyclopedia of British Literature; “Sullen Fires Across the Atlantic”: Essays in British and American Romanticism; Connecting Continents: Britain and Latin America, 1780–1900; and Romanticism and the Anglo-Hispanic Imaginary.
