About Us

Bard College’s Institutional Research office is responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting historical and current data about the College for a variety of constituencies:

  • Custom reporting for the vice president of administration and other Bard offices
  • Collecting and reporting data for mandatory reports to federal (IPEDS) and state (NYSED) agencies
  • Reporting data for annual college guidebooks:
    • Nonprofit (e.g., UCAN, sponsored by the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities)
    • Commercial (e.g., Barron’s, College Board, U.S. News & World Report College Survey, and Princeton Review)
  • Faculty salary surveys for the American Association of University Professors (AAUP)
Bard participates in the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) for data sharing with other private colleges.
