Bard College Named a Top Producer of Fulbright US Students for 2025–26
Bard College is proud to be included on the list of US colleges and universities that produced the most 2025–26 Fulbright US Students. Each year, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces the top producing institutions for the Fulbright Program, the US government’s flagship international educational exchange program. The Chronicle of Higher Education publishes the lists annually.
Four graduates from Bard received Fulbright US Student awards for the academic year 2025–26. Maia Cluver ’22, a joint Art History and Visual Culture and Human Rights major, is currently living in Jordan as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA). Cecilia Giancola ’25, who majored in Historical Studies, received a Fulbright independent study-research scholarship to India. Oskar Pezalla-Granlund ’24, an Art History and Visual Culture major, was selected for a study-research grant to Spain. Additionally, Grace Molinaro ’24, a 2024 Middle Eastern Studies and Cello Performance major at Bard College and Conservatory, received a Fulbright scholarship to study Modern Standard Arabic in Egypt.
“We are thrilled that Bard has once again been announced as a Fulbright Top Producing Institution, as we believe that such a distinction is a testament to the intellect and ambition of our students and the strength and support of our faculty and staff,” said Molly Freitas, associate dean of studies and Fulbright advisor at Bard. “Thank you to our community members who made this distinction—and many others—possible.”
Fulbright is a program of the U.S. Department of State, with funding provided by the US Government. Participating governments and partner institutions, corporations, and foundations around the world also provide direct and indirect support to the Program.
Fulbright Alumni work to make a positive impact on their communities, sectors, and the world and have included 44 heads of state or government, 63 Nobel Laureates, 93 Pulitzer Prize winners, 83 MacArthur Fellows, and countless leaders in all sectors and industries across the United States and around the world.
