Bard Prison Initiative Debate Union competes against cadets from the Military Academy at West Point.
The Bard Prison Initiative Debate Union defeated the Duke University team on Friday, November 15, at Eastern Correctional Facility. The debate topic was: The United States federal government should provide substantial support for clinical trials of human germ-line genome editing. BPI argued in the affirmative. The judges decided unanimously in favor of the BPI team, which now has a record of 10 wins and two losses.
