How Can We Bridge Political Divides for a Better Future? Bard’s Elmira Bayrasli Moderates Panel at What Works Global Summit in Canada
Opposing political parties doesn’t always mean completely different ideas about how to create a better future. How can politicians and everyday citizens align on critical issues and work toward a common vision? Elmira Bayrasli, Bard Globalization and International Affairs Program director, recently moderated a panel at the What Works Global Summit in Banff, Canada, hosted by the Social Progress Imperative. The panel, “Bridging Political Divides for a Better Future,” featured former Canadian parliamentarians and cochairs of the Coalition for a Better Future Anne McLellan and Lisa Raitt in discussion of how they have worked across political differences for a more prosperous Canada.
