Music exploring themes of folly from the Renaissance, Baroque, and 21^st century

Including John Eccles’ The Mad Lover, Antonio Vivaldi’s La Follia (arranged for string orchestra and continuo by Jeannette Sorrell), excerpts from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Peasant Cantata, the U.S. premiere of la folia by Estonian composer Tõnu Kõrvits performed by harpsichordist Sophia Cornicello, and works by Juan del Encina, Alonso Mudarra, Diego Ortiz, Johann Christian Schickhardt, and Andrea Falconieri.
