Did you know... the Fisher Center for Performing Arts at Bard College is 100% geothermal?
The FisherCPA— designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 2003— uses a geothermal wellfield and heat pump plant to provide heating & cooling for the entire 100,000 ft2 facility.
The wellfield is comprised of 150 boreholes, each at 500ft deep, and acts as both a source and sink of renewable thermal energy.

Bard has been a leader and early adopter of heat pumps and geothermal, with systems going back to the late 1980’s.
