Congratulations to Maya Junkins ’25 who won the 2025 Klebanoff Award for excellence in art history! Junkins' Senior Project is titled "Artistic Genius and the Disobedient Imagination: Thomas Cole's Creative Power in The Titan's Goblet (1833) and The Architect's Dream (1840)" wherein she explored Thomas Cole's lesser known works from imagination which he believed to be acts of divine creation.
The Alexander Klebenoff award is given annually to an AHVC student whose Senior Project demonstrates extensive scholarship and daring originality. The student demonstrates a commitment to art and artists in and around Bard College and shows both a deep appreciation and diversified understanding of art history.
