Not for Radio Hosts Listening Party in Blithewood Garden
Marìa Zardova, songwriter and lead singer of the Marias, hosted a listening party for her new album on Bard’s campus. The party took place in Blithewood Garden and celebrated the first project from her new band Not For Radio. The album, titled Melt, was also recorded in upstate New York, and its subject matter “draws [from] the wintry stillness of those New York woods,” writes Conçetta Ciarlo for Vogue.
“I wanted to record somewhere out of my comfort zone, and outside of LA,” Zardova said of her decision for the location. “I’m Puerto Rican and an island girly, so the polar opposite was going to upstate New York in the dead of winter.”
