Celebrated Young Novelist and Bard Graduate Jedediah Berry to Give Reading on Monday, November 9

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— Jedediah Berry will read from his acclaimed postfantasy detective novel, The Manual of Detection, at Bard College on Monday, November 9. Berry will be introduced by novelist and Bard literature professor Bradford Morrow. The reading, which is being presented as part of Morrow’s Innovative Contemporary Fiction course, is free and open to the public and takes place at 2:30 p.m. in Weis Cinema in the Bertelsmann Campus Center.

Jedediah Berry was raised in the Hudson Valley region of New York state. His first novel, The Manual of Detection, was published this year by The Penguin Press and William Heinemann. His short fiction has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Best New American Voices and Best American Fantasy. He lives in Northampton, Massachusetts, and works as assistant editor of Small Beer Press.
