The Bard College Conservatory of Music Presents the Conservatory Sunday Concert Series
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—The Bard College Conservatory of Music presents the “Conservatory Sundays” concert series at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts. The concert series takes place Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m. on the stage of the Sosnoff Theater, and will be performed by the students of The Bard College Conservatory of Music, with faculty and special guests. All Conservatory Sundays proceeds benefit the Scholarship Fund of The Bard College Conservatory of Music. Suggested donations are $20 (orchestra seating) and $15 (parterre/first balcony). The minimum donation for orchestra seating is $5. Seating location for tickets reserved without a donation will be assigned by the Box Office. Conservatory Sunday: Conservatory Orchestra
A concert of orchestral music with the Conservatory Orchestra, conducted by Leon Botstein. The program includes Schoenberg’s Five Pieces for Orchestra; Strauss’s Don Juan; and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
Sunday, October 24 at 3 p.m.
Conservatory Sunday: Chamber Music
Performed by Conservatory students and faculty, including the Chimeng Quartet and pianist Melvin Chen. The program of chamber music includes Brahms’s Sextet No. 1 in B-flat Major, Charles Ives’s Piano Trio, and Mozart’s Wind Serenade in E-flat Major.

Conservatory Sunday: Concerto Competition Finals
Conservatory students compete for the opportunity to perform as soloists with the American Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Leon Botstein, and the Conservatory Orchestra.
Sunday, December 5 at 3 p.m.
Conservatory Sunday: Conservatory Orchestra
The Conservatory Orchestra, conducted by Harold Farberman, will perform Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet (Overture – Fantasy after Shakespeare); Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite; Martinů’s Oboe Concerto; and Gershwin’s Catfish Row.
Ticket prices are by suggested donation: $20 Orchestra seats; $15 Parterre and First Balcony. The minimum donation for Orchestra seating is $5. The mission of The Bard College Conservatory of Music is to provide the best possible preparation for a person dedicated to a life immersed in the creation and performance of music. The conservatory features a unique double degree program in which all undergraduate conservatory students receive a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in another field. In addition, the conservatory offers graduate programs in Vocal Arts, led by renowned soprano Dawn Upshaw, and in Conducting, led by Harold Farberman, as well as a Post-Graduate Collaborative Piano Fellowship, directed by Frank Corliss.
