The Raptors won 62-49, securing a conference win for the first time since 2013.
The Bard College women's basketball team earned a historic win over the William Smith Herons on Friday evening, scoring 62-49 at Stevenson Athletic Center and marking the first time the Raptors defeated a conference opponent at home. Athletics and Recreation at Bard has been led by Stefanie Carrington since August 2024.

All eight Raptors who entered the contest scored over three points and two rebounds, while seven of eight drilled three-pointers. Leading the way was Erin Tobes ’27, who had 18 points, while Morgan Kottka ’29 stretched the floor, hitting three triples and totaling 13 points, and Ava Gregory ’29 hit 2-of-5 from beyond the arc and added five rebounds. Jessica Martin ’27 had eight quick points in 12 minutes off the bench and nailed a shot at the buzzer at the end of the third quarter to send the crowd into a frenzy. Lexi Miller ’27 tied for the game-high in steals, with three, adding three points. Shirley Dong ’26 played a game-high 35 minutes as the floor general, tallying five points, while Aislynn Dixon ’26 hit two big threes and chipped in four rebounds. Tianna Gonzalez ’28 rounded out the Raptors with four boards and three points.

“These kids work hard day in and day out, their work ethic is unmatched,” said head coach Alaina Walker after the game. “We knew eventually we would get to this point… because they came in ready to go.”
