Paul Sigismondi

Biography:
B.S., Physics, University of California at Berkeley; Ph.D, Physics, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Sigismondi researched theoretical aspects of astrophysical jets for his Ph.D. thesis. He taught for many years at the Trinity School in New York, before taking some time away from teaching to work on his other passion, which is music. As an independent singer/songwriter, he has self produced several EPs and has performed in New York, Los Angeles, and North Carolina. Several of his recordings may be found on "itunes". He has a strong interest in the links between science and the humanities, particularly in the relationship between quantum physics and philosophy. More specifically, he is interested in epistemological issues associated with the quantum interpretation of measurement. He currently teaches physics and mathematics at the Collegiate School in New York. In his spare time, he gigs out in New York. He is currently working a new recording project that should be completed this summer. At the moment, he is rereading Crime and Punishment and hopes to read Knut Hamsun's Hunger over the summer.Contact:
