Inayat Sabhikhi

Biography:
Inayat Sabhikhi is the founding head of the Technology and Society program, with fifteen years of experience in strategic campaigns for state and corporate accountability. Previously, as the National Coalition and Research Manager of One Fair Wage, she contributed to a successful ballot initiative to end the sub-minimum wage for tipped service workers.Before coming to Bard, she was a grassroots organizer and researcher with social movements in India, where she shaped expanded welfare rights and adoption of social accountability policies. She has a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, a Masters of Science in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London, and a BA in Economics from Delhi University. She has published in the Economic Times, Scroll.in, Indian Express, The Hindu Center of Politics and Public Policy, Indian Journal of Labor Economics, and Re:work Radio UCLA Labor Center, among others. At Bard since 2024.
