Bard Center for Environmental Policy

Offering master of science degrees in environmental policy and in climate science and policy, the Bard Center for Environmental Policy (Bard CEP) fosters education, research, and leadership on critical environmental issues. Each program prepares graduates to enter the workforce as skilled mediators between the world of science and the political, economic, legal, and social forces that shape environmental policy. A full-time professional internship is an integral part of training during the second year. The value of this approach has been recognized through partnerships with Pace Law School, the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Bard College, Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, and Bard’s MBA in Sustainability program. Bard CEP is a partner institution in the Peace Corps’ Master’s International and Paul D. Coverdell Fellows programs, and home to the National Climate Seminar, a bimonthly national conference call on the climate change crisis among Bard CEP students and experts in the field. It also hosts the C2C Fellows program, a national network for undergraduates and recent graduates aspiring to sustainability leadership in politics and business.
