LUNCH

Teachers play quiet music and sit along side children, sharing a relaxing transition time with stories and picture books. Many children go right to sleep after lunch. Other children rest but do not sleep. We believe a quiet solitary period and space for silence is an important part of a balanced day.  We observe that some children are consolidating sleep at night as they turn 4 and 5  and are outgrowing naps, and so when this is the case, we offer quiet play options (puzzles, clip boards, books).
