The Bard College Conservatory of Music Presents "Conservatory Sundays: Chamber Music" in the Sosnoff Theater on April 3
“Conservatory Sundays: Chamber Music” will be performed by students and faculty of the Conservatory of Music on Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m. Strauss’s Sonatina No. 1 for 16 wind instruments (“From the Workshop of an Invalid”) will be performed.
On Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m., the Conservatory Orchestra performs its third concert in the spring series, conducted by Leon Botstein. The program includes George Tsontakis’s Unforgettable for Two Violins and Orchestra, Joan Tower’s Rapids for Piano and Orchestra, and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.
And finally, Conservatory Graduate Vocal Arts Program Artistic Director and internationally-renowned soprano Dawn Upshaw joins the Graduate Vocal Arts Program students, the Collaborative Piano Fellows, and pianist Kayo Iwama, Head of the Graduate Vocal Arts Program for a concert on May 15 at 3 p.m.
