The mission of the CIE Health, Counseling and Wellness Subcommittee is to collectively build a healthier Bard community inclusive of all students, faculty, and staff with particular attention given to groups from marginalized communities. Their goal is to increase the positive health outcomes of marginalized communities and increase health equity and decrease factors that lead to health disparities at Bard.

Staff Advocacy and Equity
The Staff Advocacy and Equity/Staff Mentor Program Working Group is a group of solutions-based and community-oriented staff members at Bard who represent a wide range of departments and longevity at the College and seek to elevate and celebrate the integral role of Bard staff. As a subcommittee of the Council for Inclusive Excellence, we are dedicated to:
- Improving the onboarding and training process for new hires (achieving parity with the faculty onboarding and training experience)
- Advocating for equitable support, opportunities, and benefits for staff members
- Achieving equity between all of the staff and faculty groups on campus
- Creating community among the staff across the College; connecting with various departments to uncover areas of shared interest/concern (i.e. housing in the Bard area, childcare opportunities, work-life balance)
- Providing opportunities for professional development and mentorship
- Developing pathways for continued education for staff members (through Bard and OSUN programs)
