The Office of the Dean of Inclusive Excellence collaborates with campus partners to coordinate curricular and cocurricular efforts and initiatives. Students are encouraged to meet with the vice president or dean of inclusive excellence for programming support; scholarship/research; training and workshops; facilitating a response to faculty, staff, and student concerns; and student support, which includes support for historically marginalized communities.

Current initiatives include the establishment of a Truth, Community, Healing, and Transformation Center, and the Rebecca Cole Heinowitz Memorial Fund for Student Support and Relief, which provides inclusive and equitable access to support for Bard undergraduates facing unexpected financial challenges.
  • Council for Inclusive Excellence
The Council for Inclusive Excellence facilitates discussions about equity and inclusivity at Bard. Made up of student, faculty, and staff volunteers, the Council serves as a communication nexus for concerns, projects, and initiatives that require campus-wide collaboration for success.
  • Student Support and Relief Fund
The Student Support and Relief fund is reserved for students encountering financial challenges at Bard College Annandale. It aims to relieve financial stress so that students can remain engaged in their college careers.
  • First-Gen Network
Bard is part of First-Gen Forward, an organization that focuses on supporting first-generation college students. At Bard, the Network connects first-gen students with each other and with supportive staff, faculty, and alumni, offering workshops and professional development.
